Courtyard meeting: At the courtyard meeting held on the date 21.06.2022 Basta union under Dhamrai upazila, Ms.Sharmin Begum said her Daughter got married three years ago. After the marriage, Husband of her daughter went abroad to earn money. He did not send any money for their maintenance. My Daughter is currently living at my house with her daughter because her father-in-law could not allow them at her husband's house. I came to this courtyard meeting today and learned about the work of Legal Aid. I am seeking the help of Legal Aid for my problem.
UPLAC Bi-monthly Meeting: The UPLAC monthly meeting was held on the date 21.6.2022 Mr. Md.Emdad Hossain, Union Secretary of Vakurta Union union under Savar Upazila said that Firstly We are trying to solve common people's problems in Union Parishad. If We Fail to solve the problem, we will send the client to the DLAO office as per the authorization of the Chairman. Many People of Union did not know about Legal Aid Services. We should increasing our promotion of Legal Aid service.
UZLAC Sensitization Meeting: The UZLAC Sensitization Meeting at held on the date 20.06.2022 Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mr. Mehidi Hasan said that everyone needs to participate in the suppression of violence against women. Upazila Parishad will provide all kinds of services to prevent gender based violence, human trafficking, child marriage. The committee of the Upazila A'League was changed by a journalist, cultural activist and College lecturers should be included. Besides, all kinds of cooperation were provided for the formation of Legal Aid help desk in the upazila.
Public Hearing: Joining in the Public Hearing event on the date 22.06.2022, Jontail Union under Nawabganj Upazila, Dhaka, Chairman A K M Moniruzzaman said that all of you will contact the manager of Nawabganj Upazila and tell him your problem in detail so that you can get your solution. We will refer the problems to DLAO that we cannot solve through the Union Parishad. I am requesting everyone in the Union Member to do more and more promotion of Legal Aid Service. Because many people are still not aware of Legal Aid Services.
School Debate: The School Debate was held on the date 23.06.2022 Md Abdur Salam, Headmaster of NayaBazar Higher Secondary School in Shakta union under Keraniganj Upazila, said that Many thanks to the PPJ and Legal Aid Organization. Students and teachers did not know about the subject of this law before, now they know it and will be benefited a lot from knowing it. Prevention of Violence Against Women and Prevention of Child Marriage The number 16430 will bring many benefits. We will increase the promotion of legal aid with the students and teachers of the school.
Video Projection: The video projection was held on the date 23.06.2022 Md Abdur Salam, Headmaster of NayaBazar Higher Secondary School in Shakta union under Keraniganj Upazila said that The Videos of Legal Aid Services is so informative and it will help teachers and students a lot. Today students learn the activity of District Legal Aid Officer by this Video program and they can spread this information to local people. We should increase its promotion for the local people who can not get justice.
